ABS-CBN shows will be now available streaming to millions of subscribers of PLDT to its mobile, the companies announced on Monday.
ABS-CBN Chairman Eugenio Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak and PLDT Chairman Manuel Pangilinan signed a agreement that will give the telecommunications company subscriber an access to iWant TV.
“The strategy partnership between PLDT and ABS-CBN underline our vission to make our content available through online for more Filipinos.”Carlo Katigbak said.
With a partnership, the ABS-CBN shows will be now available in the rate of 30 million smart phones that run the smart network.
The shows will be serviceable for streaming starting on October this year.
Sales of its digital television box (TV PLUS), reached 1.5 million units since the first launch February last year.
ABS-CBN Publishing, also laltely partnered with Filipino smart phone maker MyPhone to make ABS-CBN content available, an app that will come in pre installed on MyPhone units.
ABS-CBN reported the net income of P2.1 billion in January to June, up 76% from the previous year.
