The Diplomats in Philippines are now in talks with counterparts in China and Japan to fixed visits for their controversial President Duterte at the end of next month.

The dates were still being worked out for the proposed trips by the outspoken leader, many official saids, remaining unfamilliar because they are not authorized to speak to the medei.

Japanese foreign minestry official announced about the confirmed plans that being made. There was no immediately response from China.

President Duterte repeatedly said conflict was pointless and he also wants to get along and do business with Beijing.

Some analysts belives that Pres. Duterte uncharacteristics verbal inhibition towards China, in contrast to his stinging rebukes of the U.S, European, United Nations, shows he is hedge in pursuit of his goal in an independent foreign policy and reducing the reliance on formor colonial ruler Washington.

Philippines and China were trying to find a way to break the ice after a assumption by an arbitral court in The Hague in July invalidated by Chinas claims to most of the South China Sea and gave Manila the legal high ground in the faction.

During a speech on Thursday, President Duterte said he would go to China this year and without elaborating, told to Chinese businessmens. “you will se me frequently”.

He also reiterated he would not turn away from the court ruling but would seek a way out of a 4 year deadlock at the disputed Scarborough and for the China coastguard to let the Filipino fish there free.

A source in President Duterte’s office said it was possible former Pres. Fidel Ramos, his new China legate, will visit early as next week to lay the ground work for talks.

The relationship with Japan is farless complicated and Tokya is agree to provide ten coast guard vessel to Manila to help its maritime security.

Japan, major investor acrros South East Asia, has been providing coastgaurd ships and traning also to Vietnam.

The proposed October visits would be among President Duterste’s first president in what has been colorful, at times of dramatic in the first 3 months in office.

He attended the summint Asian leaders in Loas this month and has been to Indonesia. He will also visit Vietnam next week.
