Actress Lorna Tolentino is worried about the human rights of her stepson Mark Anthony Fernandez may have been violated when he presented to the media by the police without a lawyer present.
Speaking with Mario Dumaual (ABS-CBN news reporter), Lorna Tolentino said she is currently consulting her legal team regarding to the case of Mark Anthony, who was arrested last Monday in Angeles City for carrying of a kilo of marijuana.
On Tuesday, the police officers interviewed Mark Anthony who admitted that he is using marijuana for medical purposes as suggested by the doctors and father Rudy Fernandez, without lawyer present.
In one point, Pampanga Regional Police head Aaron Aquino suggested that Mark Anthony’s doctor should be charged as well for telling him that he can use marijuana, the fact that it is not legal in the Philippines.
Mark Anthony represented Atty. Sylvia Flores, who claimed to not been informed by the police regarding to the media presentation of her client.
Mark Anthony Fernandez, son of Rudy and actress Alma Moreno claimed that the marijuana found in his car was not his property and it was only planted.
