Creamy Chicken Dijon
If you are limiting the mustard consumption to the sandwiches, your doing it wrong. Dijon mustard is a awesome cooking ingredient that you should be utilizing. We love it when it comes in marinades, sauces, and vinaigrettes especially when we are talking about this skillet chicken.
Ingredients:
1 lemon juice
2 tbsp chopped parsley
2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves minced
4 boneless chicken breasts
2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
kosher salt
1/4 c white wine
Fresh ground pepper
1/2 c heavy cream
Preparations:
- Heat a 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over a medium high heat. Season the both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to skillet and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes each sides. Transfer it to a plate.
- On the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Add the sarlic and sauté until its fragrant, atleast 30 seconds. Pour in the white wine and bring it to simmer, then add lemon juice, mustard, and cream. Simmer it until the sauce is thicken slightly, for about 1 to 2 minutes. Season it with some salt and pepper.
- Serve the chicken over a cooked white rice, if desired. Spoon some extra sauce on the top of each serving and garnish it with some parsley.
