Republican candidate Donald Trump will overcome Barack Obama to become the 45th president of America, beating Democratic Hillary Clinton after surpassing the 270 Electoral Colege votes required to win the election.
Hillary Clinton said she would be conceding the loss tonight, through a message delivered by her campaign chairman John Podesta.
Donald Trump got over line by securing the votes in the swing states of Pennslyvania and Wisconsin according to the Associated Press.
From a long way out it never seem as if Trump would become the president. After he initially announced the candidacy during the Republican primaries, Trump was dismissed as a `joke candidate` with bookkies offering of 500/1 on him winning.
After securing the Republican nomination his odd is being short. Even on the eve of election, Hillary Clinton was trading 1.25 (1/4 or a 80% chance) of winning the election on gambling website Betfair, Trump was trading at 4.0 (4/1 or 19% chance).
Hillary Clinton’s career in politics, in contrast Trump has non. But now seem that the majority of voters view his lack of experience and position as a `anti establishment` candidate worked in his favour, rather than against to him.
But what next now he actually won? Well I guess it is time for America to become `great again`.
