November 17 2016 Thursday evening. Arturo Lachica, the BOC Deputy Commisioner for Internal Administration Group, died in ambush on Espana Boulevard Manila.
According to the initial reports, Art was waiting for the traffic light to go green at the Corner of Kundiman Street when a unidentified assassin approached him and shot multiple times. He was rushed to the United Doctors Medical Center but suddenly died because of multiple gun wounds he sustained.
Art was with his two bodyguards, Ramon Hernandez and Romulo de Lima, De Lima was wounded while Hernandez was uninjured he was seating at the back of the car.
Initial investigations suggest that Art has no enemies and he had not received any death threats.
De Lima also added that none of them is able to identify the assassin as he ran away immediately after commiting the crime.
Officials are still conducting some further investigations to identify the gun mens and determines their motives.
