More Pinoy are “happy” with their lives, according to recent survey. More than 90 percent of Filipinos reported being “happy” a December 2016 surveys, conducted by the Social Weather Station (SWS).
SWS said it’s the highest happiness figured recorded in the Philippines in two decades. The survey, released in March 2017, was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,500 respondents. It asked them, “If you were to consider your life in general these days, how happy or unhappy would you say you are on the whole?”.
It showed that 46 percent of Filipinos considered themselves “very happy”, while 45 percent were “fairly happy”. Seven percent were “not very happy,” while 2 percent were “not happy at all.” The survey also showed that the highest score for overall happiness was reported in Mindanao, followed by Metro Manila, then Luzon and Visayas.
Meanwhile, the World Happiness report for 2017, released earlier this month, indicates the Philippines moved up ten spots to No.72.
