USA | United Airlines forcibly removed a man from their airline due to overbooking. Flight 3411 from Chicago to Louisville was overbooked in April 9. The airlines released a statement saying they asked for volunteers to leave the aircraft, but when no one voluntarily left, they brought on law enforcement. Video evidence of a man being dragged off the plane by law enforcement can be seen here.
Passengers left on the flight took to social media, airing feelings of disgust for the situation and sorrow for the injured passenger. A passenger on the plane, when giving her account on the incident, told Courier Journal, “No update was given to the passengers about the condition of the man forcibly removed.”
