WATCH| This controversial anti-terrorism ads goes viral in the Middle East

An anti-terrorism commercial for Ramadan done by Kuwaiti telecom company Zain has prompted mixed feelings on social media.

An anti-terrorism advertisement has gone viral in the Middle East. Kuwaiti television company Zain launched the 3-minute as on May 27 in correlation with the beginning of Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

The video begings with a man building a suicide bomb as a girl’s voice sayas, “You’ve filled the cemeteries with our children and emptied our school desks.” He straps on the bomb and walks through a city, entering a bus, a wedding ceremony and a school that have all been bombed. The victims then begin following the terrorist as a song plays. The lyric says, “Worship your God with love, with love not terror. Be tender in your faith, tender not harsh. Confront your enemy with peace, not war. Persuade others with leniency, not by force.”

The ad has been viewed over 2.8 million times on Youtube since it launched.
