Balita Ngayon| President Duterte is offering bounties for the leaders of militant fighters in Marawi City. Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Eduardo Año announced on June 5 that President Duterte put an additional 10 million pesos bounty on Abu Sayyaf senior leader, Isnilon Hapilon.
Along with Hapilon, two separate rewards of 5 million pesos were offered to find Abdullah Maute and his brother, Omar Khayyam Maute. According to ABS-CBN News, Military Public Affairs Chief Col. Edgard Arevalo said the government wants the terror leaders, dead or alive. Previously, Hapilon had a 7.4 million pesos standing bounty from the Philippine government. Clashes between the terror groups and government troops started on May 23 and according to ABS-CBN News, at least 175 people have been killed during the fighting.
